After the new curriculum reform,Chinese reading classes are determined to turn the tables of rigidity on text reading and centralized interpretation.It seems that if readers can't comprehend what's different,it will be regarded as rough reading.So that some Chinese reading classes appear which are overcorrecting,out of text and keen on novelty.As a result,people call on bringing in a really effective way to the reading class to guide the students to read deeply,and fully tap the text value.In this context,the value of detailed reading in teaching draws people's attention,more and more teachers begin to focus on training students' ability of text detailed reading.But there are many misunderstandings in the process.Teachers teach confusedly,while students learn with more confusion.As a consequence,text detailed reading isn't carried out smoothly in teaching.As a result,this article tries to define the difference between “text detailed reading” in course teaching and “text detailed reading” originated in “Anglo-American” new criticism by refreshing the researches of “text detailed reading” at home and abroad,the research scope is limited to "course teaching context,study how to make students master the method of detailed reading independently,fully tap the text meaning,finally realizes the goal of improving detailed reading ability.The thesis includes five chapters altogether.The introduction part of this thesis research on the origin and significance of topic selection,and then reviews the relevant studies of "close reading" at home and abroad,in order to define the teaching context of "close reading" and "text reading" put forward by the British and American new criticism,as well as the similarities and differences of the research scope of this paper is limited to "course teaching context".The first chapter analyses the present situation of high school students of cultivating the ability of text and requirements for teachers.Second chapter poetry,novel,prose,drama four different genre through a close reading of the text.The third chapter discusses the specific measures of reading that's namely the experiencing language context,rhetoric analysis,tapping context.The fourth chapter discusses the practical steps that train students' close reading ability in class.They are emphasizing preview,paying attention to reciting,stimulating students' interest with questions and extending to the outside.The fifth chapter discusses the evaluation of effect that trains students' close reading ability,including reading exercises training,reading report,the attention to students comments and feedback three measures.I sincerely hope that the research results of this paper can inspire the teacher's "teaching" and students "learning" and help high school students improve their detailed reading ability.
