Under the new circumstances,the evaluation on students becomes the focus of attention for teachers at present.How to correctly evaluate students,pay close attention to the studying process of students,and promote students to study are the issues which are concerned by people jointly.The new curriculum standard advocates the establishment of the comprehensive evaluation system for promoting the all-round development of students,and the application of the mode combining formative evaluation with summative assessment into the teaching practice.Under the guidance of this juche idea,the research on junior middle school English classroom teaching evaluation is guided by the new curriculum standard,and taking thematic teaching as principal line,the portfolio assessment as main means,striving to find a perfect corresponding point between thematic teaching and portfolio assessment teaching.The research takes unit six of volume one of Oxford junior middle school English as an example,talk about the use of portfolio assessment teaching in the thematic teaching.This research subject mainly includes summary of portfolio assessment,thematic unit teaching,portfolio assessment implementation preparation,portfolio assessment implementation process,and portfolio assessment results analysis,etc.It aims at making students lay emphasis on procedural learning when learning and mastering English through the organic combination between teaching practice and portfolio assessment of this subject,rethinking their own deficiencies,and forming the good habit of cooperation in the process of study and activity;students should learn to make mutual evaluation and mutual progress;teachers' evaluation on students should emphasize the improvement and cultivation of students' study ability of every aspect,emphasize the process,students' progress,supervise and urge students to improve deficiencies and be developed in an all-around way,instead of only adopting summative assessment or being constrained by the grades or the results,in order to lay a solid foundation for the further study.
