To understand the characteristics of children's picture-elicited narratives ability is the key figure about the development of children. The author uses the survey method, by providing three pictures to collect children figure tells the corpus in order to explore children figure about the characteristics of the development. The results of the study show that:First, with the growth of the age, children figure about independence, theme appropriate, the time markup vocabulary, lexical level and language coherence of use, will increase with age increasing. Second, the overall development level of young children's performance and use the dialogue are relatively low. Third, the small class children about the overall level of independence, appropriate subject, lexical level and other aspects are relatively low. Fourth, the middle class children about independence, appropriate subject, lexical level, language coherence and time of vocabulary use in the stage of rapid development, but the performance and the use of the dialogue situation development are relatively slow. Fifth, the big class children about independence, appropriate subject, performance and other aspects are growing very rapidly, but the use of dialogue is still not much, also need to more development. In the end,the writer put forward some educational suggestions in order to promote the development of children's ability of picture-elicited narratives.
