There exist several problems in current composition teaching,such as teachers having no alternative,students feeling bored to learn and little teaching achievement.Based on the analysis of the problems in the traditional writing teaching mode,considering high-grade pupils' age characteristics as well as the teaching practice,this paper puts forward the writing-before-teaching mode,referring to the specific requirements of new Chinese Course Standard and related literature.This paper elaborates on the meaning and operation steps of the writing-before-teaching mode,which has such characteristics as encouraging creativity,centering on questions,emphasizing discussion and practice.On one hand,the writing-before-teaching mode conforms to the related theory of epistemology,psychology and pedagogy.On the other hand,it accords with the children's physical and mental characteristics and teaching practice as well.The mode includes 4 procedures.They are requirement before writing,discussion after writing,modification and assessment.The basic operation steps are writing before teaching,analyzing writing condition,teaching based on writing,second writing,second correcting and individual counseling.The mode devotes particular attention to analysis of writing condition and discussion after writing,which truly bases the writing on teaching.This article demonstrates the key points of mode operation with concrete teaching practice and vivid teaching cases.Furthermore,the writing-before-teaching mode puts forward higher requirements for teachers,who feel the need to continue to raise awareness and enhance ability in the teaching practice for the better control of the course and improvement of the teaching ability.The writing-before-teaching mode is targeted to solve problems in students' writing practice.Its actual effect is positive and it is worth further promotion and research.
