The study on the daily learning of postgraduate students found that the existence of academic delay influence the completion of tasks of students based on academic,scientific research and the school development seriously.Therefore,in order to make postgraduate studying in limited time,improve the quality of learning is the first thing to solve the problem of academic delay.In the existing literature,academic delay research mostly in the perspective of pedagogy and psychology,rarely to join the management theory.But effective management methods and means,are integral part of in the process of solving delay.This paper combined with the management theory and the pedagogy and psychology research,in the perspective of management to research how to combine the advanced management theory and effective management methods to solve academic procrastination.This study used literature method,questionnaire survey method and the combination of qualitative and quantitative way.We use the data collected from descriptive statistics to research the degree of postgraduate academic delay,the reason of delay,letter validity,exploratory factor and regression.This study got he following conclusions:(1)Five categories in the master daily school activities,"write study paper/finish the homework","research published paper/writing" and "read academic literature" are main depended on students' self-management education task,their delay were significantly higher than "mentor arrangement task" and "to participate in the task and the teacher appointment,participate in academic activities ",which need external supervision and management.(2)The graduate student academic procrastination causes roughly divided into four categories,named "self-management","strengthen of tasks","self expectation" and "others",and "self-management" influence maximum,so self management level is inversely proportional with the degree of procrastination.Cultivate self management ability is the most important thing to solve the academic procrastination.Based on humanistic management theory and the expectancy theory,combined with self management content and the delay reasons resulting from the investigation and analysis,this article propose five aspects of the self management ability training countermeasures:(1)Changing self consciousness to improve self expectation.(2)Guiding self-control to learn to self management,and strengthen the self control and learn to self management.(3)Improvement plan to improve the strength of task to reduce the delays caused by task which are short of strength.(4)Building management atmosphere to strengthen the positive effect to creating the atmosphere of self management to reduce the negative influence.(5)Improving the evaluation mechanism to improve self motivation to improve self-motivation in evaluation.
