Study On The Effectiveness Improvement For Adoption Ability Of Adoption Families Through Case Work

In recent years,as the frequent occurrence of adopted children abusement,along with the relationship deterioration between foster children and parents,public concern has been widely aroused over the group interests of the adopted children.In 2012,the Ministry of Civil Affairs began to carry out the adoption ability evaluation system nationwide,in order to promote the family welfare for adopted children.However,in its actual implementation process,due to many reasons,most importantly,the lack of necessary follow-up service support for foster families,this system still remains in the level of proactive supervision for foster families.The goal of improving family welfare for adopted children has not been very well achieved.The author believes that the adoption ability evaluation system still has great improvement space.The in-depth study of social work service to foster families,for the effective improvement of family adoption abilities and furthermore,to improve the adoption ability evaluation system,plays an important role in promoting the healthy development of adopted children.Guided by the theory of professional case social work,12 representative families from Jiangxi Province adoption ability evaluation pilot project were selected as the research object.Through the experimental study method,these 12 families were divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group received a one-year family case service while the control group were left unintervented.A comparative study was done respectively between the experimental group and the control group,before and after the one-year service,concerning different indicators of their adoption abilities.Compared with the control group,the experimental group enjoyed different degrees of improvement in family education ability,parent-child relationship adjustment ability,marital relationship adjustment ability and psychological adjustment ability.Through this research,the author tries to combine the special cultural background of our country with the opportunity of govermental reform of adoption work management,to put forward some suggestions to the case social work in the development of the adoption family service field.The author also provides some references for the further improvement of the adoption ability evaluation system,along with promotion for the protection of vulnerable children's rights and interests.Case social work is effective to improve the adoption ability of adoption families...
