Mind mapping was born in 1960s,which was proposed by the British psychologist Toni Buzan.It is essentially a kind of graphic thinking tool that has a very efficient role.It is a new form of note taking--from the main theme to multiple themes and then derive more sub themes.Mind mapping is the construction of the notes on a piece of paper with text,images,lines and colors combined to wake up the brain's thinking process.The new curriculum reforms and the new curriculum ideas are familiar to most of the teachers who have heard it many times.New ideas and new methods have emerged in an endless stream during the past decade years.As a teacher of the new era,we should keep pace with the times by using new teaching strategies.The mind mapping is a most practical and efficient teaching strategy and teaching tool.Although high school biology knowledge is messy,actually,it is very close.The mind mapping can distinguish between primary and secondary as a learning tool,from which one can see the relationship of the main ideas easily.This paper expounds the method of using the mind mapping and the characteristics of the mind mapping.I will analyze the feasibility of using the mind mapping according to the characteristics of high school biology curriculum,the characteristics of college entrance examination and the characteristics of thinking angle while learning biology.In order to verify the feasibility of using mind mapping in teaching,I will explore the application of mind mapping in class.Based on the characteristics of senior high school students,the characteristics of high school teaching and the characteristics of mind mapping,this paper analyzes the application of mind mapping in high school biology teaching,This paper expounds two aspects of the application of mind mapping in biology teaching,including the new teaching and the revision of the college entrance examination,This research adopts the method of teaching experiment and questionnaire,which is the combination of the two methods.In the teaching experiment,the control class and the experimental class were set up.Through the comparison of the experimental results,the effect of mind mapping on students'academic achievement was analyzed.The questionnaires were given to the experimental class,and then analyzed students' responses after using mind mapping and the influence of mind mapping on students' learning.Through the pre-test and post-test data analysis,we found that the students in the experimental class were significantly improved compared with the control class.The use of mind mapping can improve students' interest in learning and enhance their learning initiative.
