To raise public acceptance of the major-ideological and political education,we have to start with professional identity of undergraduates whose major is ideological and political education Higher professional recognition of undergraduates of this major has far-reaching influence not only on enhancing the effectiveness of students of this major,but also on deepening the theoretical research of this major,and such benefits as cultivating young political educators with the spirit of reform and innovation.Therefore,this thesis is conducted on universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in which there is the major of ideological and political education.After statistical analysis of the data,we found that professional identity of this major is good by all,but there are still some students with lower recognition as well as elements for their lower recognition.Through analysis of data,we found the reasons for students initially choosing this major,including family environment,community environment,school education as well as government policy.The influence factors of students' professional identity are social recognition,employment prospects,the comprehensive strength of universities and disciplines,the difficulty of further education,multiple cultural values,emerging media such as Weibo and WeChat,and teaching methods.In this thesis,the writer proposes that we can improve professional recognition of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education from four different levels-counting,universities,families and individuals in order to make the professional recognition of this major spread in the whole society.
