With the development of social productive forces and the rapid growth of the global population,the global problems such as environmental pollution and resource shortage are becoming more and more prominent.It is necessary to cultivate students’ awareness of population,awareness of resources and environment,awareness of sustainable development and so on.The important goal of the current curriculum reform.Although the current level of education has increased significantly,but the students of the geographical and cultural literacy has failed to head ahead.The progress of social science and technology,making spiritual civilization can not keep up with the pace of economic development.As a geography educator,through their own geography teaching practice found that due to urban and rural environmental differences lead to differences in many aspects of students,this paper attempts to compare the differences between urban and rural areas,from the analysis of rural and urban students in the geographical and cultural literacy The first is hoping to put forward the strategy for the discovery of the problem to promote the improvement of students’ personalities and humanities,and the other is to provide some reference for the future practice of geography teaching.The paper is divided into six parts:The first part: Introduction.This paper analyzes the theoretical and practical significance of the topic selection,and puts forward the main points of this paper,which is based on the current situation of social development and the background of social development,combining with the present situation of high school students’ geography and humanities and the current situation of research in this field both at home and abroad Objectives and content,as well as identification of research methods and research routes.The second part: According to the relevant literature,explained the connotation of the related concepts such as "geographical literacy","humanistic accomplishment","humanistic spirit" and "urban-rural difference",and laid a theoretical foundation for research and established on this basis Study the regional scope and object,so that research is well founded.The third part: The cultivation of high school students’ geography and humanities can not be separated from the content of geography teaching materials.The study of the teaching materials of humanities knowledge system and geography department is analyzed,The relationship between the formation of humanistic spirit.The fourth part: the questionnaire and interview content to sort,classification analysis,statistics show the results of interviews and analysis and comparison.On this basis,the paper compares the similarities and differences between urban and rural students in the basic knowledge of humanities and humanities and humanistic spirit,and analyzes the causes of the results with teachers and students.The fifth part: According to the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey in Chapter 4 of this study,it points out the main problems found in the research process,and puts forward practical suggestions and strategies from the point of view,so as to enhance the high school students in different areas of urban and rural areas Geographical humanities.The sixth part: summarizes the whole paper,sums up the research results,points out the problems and shortcomings in the research process,and also puts forward the direction of trying to improve.
