The development of science and technology has brought tremendous changes to the material life of mankind. while in the pursuit of improved quality of material life, people often ignore the transformation of the spiritual world.Money worship, hedonism, individualism has been growing, which seriously affected the physical and mental health of young people and their value systems. So paying attention to and strengthening humanistic education, striving to cultivate students'cultured, aesthetic self-cultivation, morality, reshaping their integrity and noble character become the top priority.As a unified subject of instrumentality and humanity, Chinese shoulders the mission of humanistic education to the students.This article focuses on the humanistic education in the teaching of Chinese reading in secondary school, on the basis of absorbing previous research results of humanistic education, using a combination of theoretical and practical methods, proposing strategies on how to implement humanistic education in connection with the current status for the teaching of Chinese reading in middle schools. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction. The second part is the interpretation of theoretical basis for this study. The third part is the theoretical research on humanistic education of Chinese reading in middle schools.The fourth part is the current status research of Chinese reading teaching in middle school, which mainly use the methods such as classroom observation and interviews. The fifth part is mainly for the current middle schools teaching of Chinese reading problems and put forward the strategies on how to implement humanistic education in Chinese reading teaching during middle school.Namely, to update the educational concept of teachers; to improve the quality of teachers in the humanities; to infiltrate humanistic spirit into the use of materials;to build a classroom full of humanistic care; to optimize Chinese teaching methods. This study is of great significance to enrich the theory of Chinese teaching and cultivate the modern people endowed with humanistic spirit.
