Since the 1980 s,the school culture construction has become the hot topic of education in our country.As an important part of school culture construction,school material culture construction can edify students' sentiment,cultivate the students' aesthetic ability and inspire students' self-education.Meanwhile,it plays an important role in education for improving the students' all-round quality.Primary school stage is the development of the life,so studying primary school material culture construction both are necessary and possible.Despite a lot of primary school practice exploration for the construction of material culture,there are few theoretical researches on it,and there is little research on the primary school material culture construction based on the value orientation.However,the reality of the situation is: the construction of primary school material culture is not only the "education" of the fundamental purpose of the alienation of education,and the practice of successful experience lacks systematic summary and theoretical upgrading.Therefore,the author of this thesis is to study the construction of primary school material culture based on education-oriented.This paper takes Changsha Maple Hill Bridge Primary School as an example on half of a kind of primary school with a long history of development——The Second Primary School Attached to Hunan First Normal University which represents a kind of newly developed primary school.It makes the comprehensive research on the material culture construction of two primary schools by the integrated use of case studies and literature research.Based on related theory of the construction of school culture and school material culture,this research summarize the connotation and contents of school material culture construction,educating people for the inherent requirements,and main performance of its educational function.Then,taking The Second Primary School Attached to Hunan First Normal University and Changsha Maple Hill Bridge Primary School for practice guidance,it deeply analyzes the current situation of material culture construction in two primary schools,from four aspects: the school location,the construction of the internal environment and school infrastructure,the design of the iconic material culture,and summed up problems and successful experience of the two primary schools in the material and cultural construction.The author based on educational value orientation of primary school material culture construction,advances some countermeasures for optimizing the primary material culture education: clear the goal of education-oriented primary school material culture construction;form characteristics of the primary school material culture construction on the premise of cherishing historical heritage;actively construct educational philosophy to lead primary school material cultural construction;rely on the participation of pupils to build;pursue primary student's life consciousness;examine the construction of primary school material culture from the perspective of children;meet the needs of primary school students based on the physical,mental and life characteristics of primary school students.
