Status And Countermeasures:CUPES Launches 'Universities Of Beijing Boost The Development Of Physical Education In Local Elementry Schools'

This research used questionnaire survey,field investigation method and logic analysis to investigate 'Universities of Beijing boost the development of physical education in local elementary schools' Project(The Project for short),include:PE curriculum,extracurricular sports,sports association,sports scientific research,sports culture and teacher training.Combined with survey results,this research summarized some advantages,defects and difficulties of the project in the future.Also we provided solutions for each difficulty and defect.Conclusion:(1)The Project selected about 130 part-time teachers,brought them into elementary schools.41.6% of above are Master candidates,23.7% of them are Bachelor candidate,22.8% of them are teachers of CUPES,11.9% of them are teachers from other schools.(2)Today,the curricula that was mainly set up by The Project is school-based course,extracurricular sports and sports association.(3)The Project started to do educational research very early,far ahead of Beijing average;the form of scientific achievements were manifold.Subject studies and sports video CDs were fruitful,but the number of papers were not optimistic.(4)The Project did very well in sports culture,but in the future,we should concentrate on sports culture communication,we should establish our brand of The Project.(5)The Project has organized trainings of part-time teachers for three times,similarly The Project has organized traingings of elementary school teachers for five times.Each trainging was effectual and pertinent,but lack of periodism and persistence.(6)The Project accumulated some advantages:firstly,lush resources of physical education;secondly,fruitful scientific achievements;thirdly,active communications for the elementary schools;fourthly,promoted the skills of elementary school teachers with high-quality trainings;fifthly,guaranteed the professionality of our PE course by powerful expert team.(7)The Project now has some disadvantages:firstly,our part-time teachers are lacking in characteristics of children's physical development and mental development;secondly,part-time teachers are lacking in effective measures of class discipline control;thirdly,part-time teachers ask for leave too much;fourthly,part-time teachers are lacking in consciousness of scientific research and innovation.
