With the deepening of the new curriculum reform of elementary education,the philosophy of history teaching has also been changed,which emphasizes the cultivation of students' ability to study and pays attention to the mastery of learning methods.As an important part of the goal of student learning ability and teaching resources which can be developed,historical map plays an important role in researching of the application in junior middle school history teaching,especially when the proportion of the historical map is increasing in examinations these years.This paper studies the problems and solutions of the historical map in the application of history teaching in junior middle school by using questionnaire,experimental method,literature research method and case analysis method.Firstly,it defines the related concepts of historical maps,including the definition,characteristics and classification of historical maps,and analyzes the application value of historical maps in junior middle school history teaching.Secondly,the paper analyzes the theoretical basis of the application of the historical map in the history teaching of junior middle school,and investigates the present situation and problems of the application.Finally,With their own research and practice,I reflects on the problems in the survey and puts forward some specific methods which are based on the analysis of all kinds of teaching materials in the historical map,such as the road map,administrative territory map,water transport map,the characteristics of the map and so on,to improve the application of historical map in teaching practice.Through the study of historical map application in junior middle school history teaching,the author hopes to enrich and supplement the existing teaching theory and practical experience of historical map,and provides some reference for junior middle school teachers in historical map teaching.
