High school geography subject has the characteristics of close relationship,knowledge system,and strong inter discipline.New educational reform and more attention to the cultivation of students'comprehensive ability,along with the reform of the teaching system in our country,and the reform of the college entrance examination policy,which agree with the purpose of quality education.In this context,highlighting the importance and particularity of high school geography,the traditional "spoon feeding" teaching model has been unable to meet the school to improve teaching quality and promote students ability requirements.The teaching mode of "first learn to teach" was first proposed by foreign middle school,that is not widely used in our schools.The purpose of this model is to enhance students' initiative in learning and discussion through to the students before class out problems and discuss,in the course of teaching and classroom training etc.Therefore,it is more targeted to design the content of the curriculum,to cultivate the students' comprehensive thinking ability and the ability to solve problems independently.In this paper,we have carried out the practice of "first learn to teach" teaching mode in the Experimental Middle School of Shulan city.This paper confirms that the teaching mode of "first learn to teach" has positive effect on the cultivation of students "ability of geography,geography,and to achieve the goal of geography teaching,through a comparative study on the interest of students' geography study and the results of the assessment before and after the group.In our school,we have carried out the appropriate improvement on the original "pre school education" teaching mode through the four steps to improve the model,including guidance,teaching,practice and consolidate the class teaching.The teaching of the course is the characteristic form of the school,which aims at the investigation of weak subjects,from the practical needs of students,to realize the stratified teaching,so as to improve the teaching level of each discipline system.In short,the "first learn to teach" teaching mode to improve the students' learning interest and learning performance,but also for the improvement of the quality of school teaching and teaching reform to provide a favorable support.We believe that "first learn to teach" mode is still much room for development,the schools should be based on their actual situation,effective reference and adjust the mode,make it play a greater effect.
