History curriculum standards or history curriculum guidelines,which issued by the education department,stipulate the teaching objectives and teaching contents of the history curriculum and reflect the development of history education of a society.This article intends to take the history curriculum standards or curriculum guidelines for middle schools in Taiwan since 1949 as examples,finds out the changes and characteristics of the history curriculum standards and curriculum guidelines for middle schools in Taiwan since 1949,and discusses the influence factors of history education in Taiwan since 1949.This article is divided into three parts including introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the reason for selecting this topic,as well as gives a briefly review of books or articles about history curriculum standards and curriculum guidelines in Taiwan.It also elaborates the ideas,methods,innovation and limitation of this research.The first chapter summarizes the backgrounds and changes of the middle school history curriculum standards and guidelines in Taiwan since 1949.This chapter clarifies the history of the history education in Taiwan's secondary schools since the period after 1949,which was divided into the "two Chiangs" period,Lee Teng-hui's reign,Chen Shui-bian's reign,Ma Ying-jeou's reign,and Tsai In-wen's reign.The second chapter and the third chapter mainly analyze the changes and characteristics of the history curriculum standards and guidelines of middle schools in Taiwan during the five periods mentioned above.These two chapters discuss about the changes and characteristics of the history curriculum in Taiwan's middle schools in terms of curriculum goals,time allocations about history education,curriculum contents,ability requirements,and educational evaluation methods.The fourth chapter analyzes how the three factors,including political factors,the historical development of history in Taiwan since 1949,and the trends of education reforms in Taiwan,influence Taiwan 's middle school history education.The last chapter briefly summarizes the conclusion of this topic,as well as the reflections from this research.As the important texts to show the development of history education in middle schools in Taiwan,the history curriculum standards and curriculum guidelines for middle schools demonstrate the development of history education in middle schools in Taiwan during different periods and provide experience in the development of history education.
