The natural environment is our human beings' surviving and developing basis,and it is also the irreplaceable material wealth of the human society.The relationship between human beings and the natural environment is always the major content in geography research.The harmonious relationship between human beings and the environment has paved an important way for the sustainable development of the human society.In the march 2014,the Educational Ministry proposed The Views on Deepening the Curriculum Reform to Implement the Fundamental Task of Students Development Through Moral Education.It pointed out that the development of students' core competence and the standards of educational quality should be formulated.Therefore,many studies have been done on this topic,and the Chinese students' development of core competence system has been put forward.The researchers of geography also came up with the geography core competence which included comprehensive thinking?regional identify?geographical practice and man-land concept.Based on the man-land concept and absorbing the scientific achievements both abroad and at home,this study took senior high school students and teachers as the research participants,and discussed the current situations and problems in middle school students' man-land concept training and put forward some strategies on how to develop students' man-land concept under the guidance of the core competence theory.It has formed a completed and operable research model and has achieved the following achievements:(1)Based on the core competence theory,this study combined the scientific achievements both abroad and at home and it cleared the conceptions and characteristics of man-land concept.Man-land concept means human beings' stable opinions or unconscious awareness about the relationship between human beings and the natural environments.It reveals how human beings' productions and activities influence the environment,how the environment limits human's actions,and how to deal with the relationships between human beings and the environment.Scientific man-land concept should include concepts of scientific population,scientific resource,scientific environment and scientific development.(2)Under the guidance of subject theory,this research designed questionnaires for middle school geography teachers and students respectively,and then it tried to investigate the current situations of man-land concept training by listening to different geography teachers' classes and analyzing many teaching plans.The results suggested that middle school students' perceptions of man-land concept are still not enough due to the lack of attention and emphasis,as well as a comprehensive evaluation system.(3)Based on the current situations of middle school students' man-land conceptions,this study put forward some ways to improve students' man-land conceptions from the overall design to local implementation and evaluation,which includes revising the textbook and curriculum,promoting teachers' training,encouraging teachers to do some scientific research,organizing students to take part in geography practical investigation,adopting a variety of teaching methods,establishing a comprehensive evaluation system and so on.Only through implementing these measures andteaching students in accordance with their aptitudes,can we effectively promote the development of students' man-land conceptions and carry out the basic requirements of core competence efficiently.(4)This research is composed of four parts.The first part is mainly about some basic theories.The second part is the analysis of the current situations of man-land concept training in middle school students' and teachers' perceptions.The third part mainly deals with some measures to improve middle school students' man-land conceptions.While the final part is the conclusion of the whole study.
