With the development of China's economy,foreign enterprises coming to invest in China are as bamboo shoots after a spring rain with an amazing quantity.As economy indirectly influences language learning,the status of Chinese language in the world language is continuously improving and the phenomenon of "Chinese language fever" has already emerged in various countries.Originally,Chinese language learners were composed of adults and college students,but now children have become non-negligible groups of Chinese language learners.Especially in China,a large number of expatriates of those wholly foreign-owned or Sino-foreign joint ventures and their family members live in China.They hope their children can be able to learn and master this language which is considered as difficult to learn and very important around the world in the Chinese language environment.Thus various international schools in China open Chinese language courses.It is still relatively deficient in how to use target-language environment to carry out research of language teaching for children in the field of foreign Chinese language teaching.And experiential teaching approach just complies with the characteristics of these external environment and second language acquisition(SLA)of children,making full use of advantages of the target-language environment to enable students to use the "learn by doing" approach to learn Chinese language.From three aspects of "experiential teaching approach","children's Chinese language" and "target-language environment",taking the students of grade 3-6 in Chinese language interest-oriented class of Deutsche Botschaftsschule Peking as study objects,this paper uses the approaches of classroom observation,case study and questionnaire survey to analyse the actual implementation effect of experiential teaching approach on Chinese language teaching to children in the target-language environment.Starting with the relevant theories of experiential teaching approaches and through the analysis on the overall teaching situation of Deutsche Botschaftsschule Peking and characteristics of the students in the interest-oriented classes,the author demonstrates the practicality and necessity of experiential teaching approach in the Chinese language interest-oriented classes and carries out case elaboration and analysis on specific situation of the implementation of experiential teaching contents designed in the light of syllabus.Finally,through the data analysis of survey questionnaire and the evaluation of the implementation effect of experiential teaching approach,announcements for experiential teaching approach during the process of implementation are offered.The author has discovered through research that for the children learning Chinese language in the target-language environment,experiential teaching approach can help them master Chinese language knowledge and improve their interests and confidence in Chinese learning through real conversation environment,personal experience and experience of the Chinese language exchange.The variability in form and strong enjoyment of teaching comply with the characteristics of children,can attract the attention of students,can improve students' intrinsic learning motivation,and can achieve certain teaching effect.At the end of this paper,aiming at the the difficulties and problems encountered during the process of Chinese language experiential teaching,the author proposes the recommendations for improvement such as placing importance on cultural difference,reasonably designing circumstances,maintaining activity order and enriching teaching contents.The author hopes that this research can provide some beneficial references for Chinese teaching to foreign children in the future.
