The State Department released “the implement action plan of national scientific literacy action plan between 2016 and 2020” in 2016.Overall arrangement of realizing promoting China's civic scientific literacy with Great Strides during the 13 th Five-Year plan period was made.Reinforcing the popular science work and improving civic especially teens' scientific literacy is the fundamental project of guaranteeing the increasing national innovative capacity and international competitiveness.According to above ideas,as a high-school biology teacher who masters more scientific and technological knowledge should be committed to improving Students' biological science literacy,and regard it as our responsibility and obligation.Changing traditional teaching concept and explore a new teaching mode is imperative.I take a new look at its connotation from aspect of macro-education and popularization of science.Firstly,on the base of the the present problems existing in high school biology teaching and the demands of national educational reform,I put biology teaching into category of popular science.Then,in educational practice,study object were taken from Class11,Class12,Class13 and Class14 in Chengdu City Sichuan province Xindu No.1 Middle School.I researched the influence on their marks and interests in learning biology under the perspective of popular science's teaching mainly by questionnaire survey.Finally,two analysis of teaching cases were listed to explain how to carry out the new teaching mode.The research shows that the four classes had little interest in biology before test,the average scores is about 66.After a semester's experiment,control classes-Class11 and Class 12 who use traditional teaching method made no significant difference on scores(P >0.05).But the experimental classes-Class 13 and Class 14 adopts objective teaching method had significant difference(P <0.05).This implies that the teaching under the perspective of popular science can help to raise student interest in biology.The statistical data of three exams in the process of pre-experiment,experiment and post-experiment in four classes shows that the experiment students improve theirbiology scores under the perspective of popular science,but the control students' grades even decreased slightly.There are significant difference between control classes and experiment classes(P <0.05).Through this study,I think our teachers have to strengthen popular science conciousness,improve our own scientific quality,change the traditional views on teaching,infiltrating popular science into biology teaching to make this subject have characteristics of popular science,such as interesting,generally,interactivity,aesthetic and so on.I hope we can achieve the ultimate goal-improving high school students' life science literacy on the foundation of improving students' interest and scores in biology.
