With the background of faster and more competitive society,it is more and more important to manage time and priorities.Being successful in time management has become a significant symbol of modern people.The ability of time management needs to be started training at an early age.At the important stage of growth and development,it is particularly important for primary school students to learn how to manage time.As the burden on students has been alleviated,primary school students have more free time,so it is very important to improve the efficiency of the primary school students' time management.The research mainly adopts questionnaires of 929 pupils in Tianjin to investigate their time management situation.When selecting samples,the research used stratified random sampling method.The main content of the investigation is the students' time management disposition,time distribution and utilization.Time management disposition is a kind of personality trait.It is a relatively stable psychological and behavioral characteristic in terms of time use.Different time management dispositions have different effects to different students' life and learning.Students' time distribution and utilization mainly includes the specific situation of the students' time management in school,after school from Monday to Friday and Saturday day.The results show that the overall level of the students' time management disposition is relatively high.Elementary school students agree with the importance of time,but their concept and ability of time use needs to be strengthened.Students' time management disposition presents sex differences and school differences.The boys'time management disposition level is less than girls.Common school pupils' time management disposition level is less than pupils in schools with good reputation.Parents' level of educational background,type of work,family atmosphere and family upbringing subject all have an impact on students' time management disposition.The time distribution and utilization of some primary school students is unsatisfactory.The problem mainly displays in:lack of physical exercise,much time on watching TV,chatting on the Internet,playing games,watching videos and other entertainment activities,staying up late on Saturday.Compared with the pupils in schools with good reputation,common school pupils show poorer performance.The causes include the following aspects.Pupils themselves are conditioned by their own physical and mental development level and they don't pay much attention on time management' knowledge and method.Teachers' recognition of the importance of students' time management does not translate into specific teaching behavior.Parents' level of educational background,type of work,family atmosphere,and family upbringing subject affect the performance of students' time management.The development of television and the Internet has effect on the students' time management.In order to promote elementary school students' time management efficiency,the parties can begin from the following aspects.In terms of students,they should improve time management ability,strengthen the awareness of time management,learning time management method and control entertainment time.In terms of school,they should improve the education of students' time management,enhance the attention to the students' time management,carry out differential education according to the characteristics of different students and pay attention to the cooperation with parents.In terms of family,parents should strengthen the communication with their children,self learning and create a democratic family atmosphere.In terms of society,the whole society should build positive environment for elementary school students managing their time.
