Study On Time Management Status Of Junior Middle School Students

It is very important for the junior middle school students to learn how to make best use of time and manage time scientifically, because they are at an important stage of the study or the life. With the junior middle school students as the main research target, this paper conducts a study on time management status by carrying out a practical survey among 287 students in Nanchang City.The main contents of the paper include the following: time management disposition of junior middle school students, the amount and the application of controllable and uncontrollable time, the main factors that influence the use of time , the necessities of instruction on time management. The results of the investigation show that : The level of students' time management disposition is high, but the consciousness and planning of time management is not enough; The time management structure is not quite reasonable; Time management play a positive role in promoting academic performance is not obvious; Time management difference of different grades is obvious, but no apparent change; Time management shows gender differences , and the male and female students have their own outstanding problems; Time management education lacks, and educational methods and means lag behind , and so on.There are seven main reasons for the time management status. The students don't fall into the habit of time management. The enthusiasm and initiative are relatively poor, affecting the efficiency of application of time. Students lack the practical ability of time management. Students lack the ability of self-discipline to manage time. Our society fail to establish and improve scientific evaluation system and incentive mechanism. Parents' utilitarian thinking and behavior have a negative impact on students' time management. Television and internet consume considerable amount of students' time and make some students indulge in.In order to improve students' time management status, we should follow the following aspects: Students should enhance the capacity in self-management of time; Parents should strengthen the guidance and supervision of time management; Schools should enhance attention and control of students' time management; Society should strive to create the environment for developing students' time management.
