The Chinese tourism higher education developed along with the blossom of tourism industry.At the beginning of reform and opening up,in order to solve the shortage of foreign exchange in the national economic construction,China started to develop the inbound tourism,but due to the lack of tourism talents,as a result,for the sake of meeting the needs of the development of tourism,the tourism higher education occur.The earliest tourism undergraduate colleges was founded in 1978,Beijing Second Foreign Languages Institute Branch,Nankai University set up tourism management undergraduate programs in1981,it had epoch-making significance for tourism higher education of our country.The evolution of tourism higher education in our country after more than 30 years,now,it has formed a specialized subject,Undergraduate,masters and doctor four levels of education system.At present,the quantity and scale of Chinese tourism higher education are the highest among the world.The state council came on "about speed up the development of tourism opinion" in 2009,and "about several opinions to promote the development of tourism industry reform " in2014,the ascent of tourism as a national strategic pillar industry.Tourism has increasingly become the important need of people's lives,the quantity of domestic travel,outbound travel and consumption rising year by year,a booming tourism industry.However,first,tourism education theory research still lags behind practice,on the other hand,the contradiction is growing between the tourism booming demand for talents of tourism talents and high quality of the contradiction supply intensified.After the development of Chinese tourism higher education,it has experienced the beginning,to the scale expansion,now the development slowly,the scale tends to be stable and even shrunk,the student's social recognition and employment in the industry "double low",the professional characteristics is not distinct,such as the effect of "double division" is unsatisfactory.Therefore,it has obvious practical significance and necessity to explore tourism applied personnel training problems and put forward countermeasures.The first chapter is the introduction part.The introduction of the research background and research significance,outline the technology road-map.Based on the background of undergraduate tourism higher education in China,this paper analyzes the status quo and progress of domestic tourism specialty colleges and their applied talents,and analyzes the characteristics of tourism education and applied talents in some countries abroad,case study as the main method,with an emphasis on applied professional-hotel management professional,select the TUC–FIU as a case is studied,discuss the mechanism and features of applied talents training,to learn,in order to put forward countermeasures and Suggestions for further strengthen the tourism applied talent cultivation.The second chapter is literature review.At present,the academic research on domestic tourism higher education mainly focus on tourism higher education introduction,training mode,cooperation in running schools and case studies,etc.The study of tourism highereducation abroad,focuses on the general situation of the higher education of tourism introduction and experience summary,typical representative tourism professional colleges and its training mode.And the research situations were briefly reviewed.The third chapter is the present situation and progress of cultivating applied talents for the domestic tourism professional education.Around the tourism professional colleges and universities of applied talent training in our country the problems existing in the process,such as talent surplus and shortage,both employment rate and employment are low,professional orientation and target,mode,teachers and so on.Find the problem and analyze the reason from the school,society,industry enterprises and the students themselves.The fourth chapter is the analysis on the Characteristics of Tourism Education and Applied Talents Cultivation in Some Countries Abroad.Combing the characteristics of tourism education in some countries and the cultivation of applied talents in some hotels and tourism colleges..The fifth chapter is a case study of TUC-FIU cooperative college.Explain the choice of TUC-FIU cooperative college as a key case of the reasons,from the school model,training model,teaching model and teacher building and other aspects of the Institute of cooperation and analysis of the school.The sixth chapter is reference and countermeasures as well as the innovation points and limitation of this article.(1)Called for the social to face and pay attention to the tourism personnel training.(2)Exploring the Development Strategy of Cultivating Characteristic Application of Tourism Applied Talents.(3)Establish and perfect the "double division" policy,to provide protection of the application of personnel training.(4)Play a positive role in the cooperation between schools and enterprises,boost the application of tourism talents.(5)Learn from foreign experience and optimize the training mode of tourism application talents.(6)General education and professional education to cultivate students' adult talents.The view of my choice,research train of thought has certain innovation,both the reflection to the existing research results and complement,there are also thinking and suggestion to the real problem.Such a concept is proposed,the cultivation is more important than training.Called for the social to face and pay attention to the tourism personnel training.This article also put forward tourism professional colleges should pay attention to characteristic,the strategy of internationalization and composite talents.Due to the limitation of the research level and conditions of the author,it has certain limitation,such as the research object,data acquisition,research methods and the proposed countermeasures and Suggestions,etc.It is necessary to perfect and improve in the further the teaching and research practice,to explore the applied talent cultivation mechanism and path,I will make positive efforts to promote the healthy and sustainable development of tourism.
