Entrepreneurship education,as a global spotlight,has attracted the world’s attention.Entrepreneurship plays an important role in promoting economic growth,improving productivity,solving the employment of college students and accelerating technological innovation.It has been recognized by governments of many countries.Colleges and universities in China also pay more and more attention to the development of entrepreneurship education.Despite the ever-increasing emphasis on entrepreneurship education in Chinese colleges and universities,the majority of our entrepreneurship education focuses on classroom teaching and most of the teachers in entrepreneurship education start to teach immediately after graduation.With various factors aggregating together,the teaching methods of entrepreneurship education in China are not targeted and feasible,which need practical and situational instructions when carried in practice.The experiential entrepreneurship education in America simulates different scenarios through well-designed activities,business plans and case teaching,which serves as a significant part in cultivating students’ creativity,improving entrepreneurial skills and enriching social experience.This thesis seeks the implications of American experiential entrepreneurship education to China by analyzing the difference between the entrepreneurship education models of the two countries,which helps to perfect the system of entrepreneurship education in China.The first part of the thesis introduces the core definition and theory references of experiential entrepreneurship education and analyzes how it is instructed by Marxism and theories of educational psychology.The second part reviews the development history and typical events of American experiential entrepreneurship education,showing the general development sequence of experiential entrepreneurship education by organizing typical events.The third part presents four typical activity carriers of experiential entrepreneurship education in American higher education:business plan competition,Science and Technology Park of university,service oriented learning and case teaching.This section also concludes the operating mechanism of American experiential entrepreneurship education,which comprises basic elements and four operating processes.The fourth part compares the main activity carriers and features of experiential entrepreneurship education between Chinese higher education and American higher education.The last part makes the most of the advantages of American experiential entrepreneurship education to enrich the carriers and means of Chinese experiential entrepreneurship education,improve its operating mecthanism and sum up its required resource guarantee.The thesis aims to find out the problems of Chinese experiential entrepreneurship education by comparing it with American experiential entrepreneurship education.It can provide some shallow references to the promotion of entrepreneurship education reform,the implementation of the quality-oriented education and the cultivation of college students’ability in practical activities.
