Under the background of China’s economic transformation and upgrade,public innovation has become an important trend.The development of social economy is in urgent need of innovative talents.Higher vocational colleges should provide innovative talents for economic transformation and development.However,at present,many vocational colleges have not paid enough attention to the cultivation of students’ innovative ability,lack of investment.Compared with ordinary college students,the innovation consciousness of higher vocational colleges students is not strong,and their research ability is weak.These phenomenons have restrained the development of innovative education.Then,innovative education began to attach importance to the "Makerspace"."Maker" s refers to the people who turn new ideas into reality through the independent practice.The Makers gather at "Makerspace",communicate with each other,learn together,and practice innovation.The "Makerspace" have a positive boost to the cultivation of innovative ability.The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept and mode of "Makerspace" to higher vocational colleges,helping to solve the problem of innovative education in higher vocational colleges.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background,status quo,significance and methods.The second chapter analyses the research objects: "innovative ability" and "Makerspace",puts forward the belief and assumption that "Makerspace training has positive effect on cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational".The third chapter studies the status quo and problems of “cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational colleges” and “Makerspace”.The fourth chapter puts forward the solutions of the problems of “cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational colleges”and “Makerspace”,corroborated by the questionnaire survey and various cases.The fifth chapter corroborates the belief and assumption that "Makerspace training has positive effect on cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational",by the Makerspace practice and data comparison of level changes of students’ innovation ability before and after the Makerspace practice.The sixth chapter is the summary of this paper.Through the research and practice,this paper has a deep understanding of the "innovative ability","Makerspace" and their status quo,problems and causes,puts forward the solutions of the problems,and corroborates the belief and assumption that "Makerspace training has positive effect on cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational".The achievements and innovation of this paper lies in:First,enriched and developed the theorys of "Promoting cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational by Makerspace training".Second,practiced and verified the belief and assumption that "Makerspace training has positive effect on cultivation of innovative ability in higher vocational".Third,innovated and developed the theorys of innovation’s essence and elements of innovative ability.
