Judicial Social Work Intervention In Juvenile Criminal Prosecution Work

Series of adverse factors,such as the simplification of modern family structure,the polarization of family education as well as the complicated and changeable social environment,has led a continuously high social crime rate.Juvenile are the vulnerable groups in society,whose criminal behaviors,as the focus of the whole society and world,have attracted close attention from professional undetected work units,community organizations,professional scholars.Especially in the high-tech era,juvenile crime in China is increasing not only in its quantity,but also diverse charges and peculiar means and the second crime,which reflects that China's existing juvenile criminal prosecution and punishment system are in loopholes and deviations which hasn't only aroused great attention from the country,but also become a widely discussed topic in society.China has made great efforts in juvenile crime prevention and education,which also made some achievements.However,in the past practice,the juvenile criminal prosecution work mainly depends on the prosecutors and other personnel.Therefore,systematic,comprehensive and effective corrections for those entering the stage of criminal prosecution of crimes involving minors are difficult to carry out,together with the minors' physical and mental particularities,differences in role and status,as well as the limitation of prosecutors' business functions and social roles.By involving judicial social workers participating in juvenile criminal prosecution work,this paper introduces the work content and intervention process of appropriate adults,judicial social survey,routine help and supervision,which explains the intervention of the judicial social work can not only educate criminal juvenile in a professional,scientific and humane way,maximize their rights and interests,help them conceive a sound social support system and return to society,but also make up defects such as their stiffness and shortage of hands and so on.Based on the foregoing basic research,a series of continuous professional social work service practice relating to appropriate adult,judicial social survey,routine help and supervision will be further discussed in this article.At the same time,many problems are found in this issue.For example,it 's limited for judicial social workers to play a role in acting as appropriate adults to participate in interrogating and judging,it's lack of hands and low recognition to do social surveys,and it's unprofessional to help and correct service target and the effect is obscure.At last,this article puts forward the effective measures,namely establishing a judicial social worker team with scientific management,professional service,continuous procedure,to improve the effectiveness of social justice in the intervention of the juvenile criminal prosecution work.
