Boarding meets a series of educational needs of the social development.It brings senior high school students the problems of adjustment to school and mental trouble,although it offers a plenty of convenience to students and their parents.Some students and their parents can't not make a decision for boarding,because it's difficult to distinguish its advantages and disadvantages.The adjustment to school during the critical period of high school has significant impacts on their study and mental health,which leads to students' and parents' careful consideration about whether to choose boarding before enrollment."Education Guidelines for Mental Health in Middle and Primary Schools" which was revised and released by the Ministry of Education in 2012,has clearly pointed out that goal of mental health education is to improve the students' psychological quality,cultivate their positive and optimistic psychological quality,fully develop their psychological potential,balance their body and mind,and promote their sustainable development.At the same time,along with the research interest of positive psychology in recent years,domestic and foreign researchers have carried out a lot of study on"psychological resilience".Psychological resilience expresses the active adaption and good personal development under individual stress situations.Its dynamic orientation gives it the possibility for improvement and advancement.This elucidates that educators is not passive to deal with the development of students.Educators can focus on cultivating the positive psychological quality of students,and promote students' school adaption and healthy development.Therefore,the study of boarding influences on adjustment to school and moderating effects of the corresponding psychological resilience will provide critical guidance for theory and practice.In this research,we take 872 students in 8 public senior high schools in Xiamen as the research object,and adopt a questionnaire survey in combination with literature review.We use the software SPSS 22.0 to perform descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,analysis of variance and linear regression analysis.Based on this,we figure out the level of school adaption and psychological resilience of senior high school students in Xiamen,and discuss the relationships between boarding conditions,psychological resilience and adjustment to school.Our research achievements offer scientific and reasonable suggestions for teachers,students and parents on the determination of boarding,and also provide theoretical guidance to educators for cultivating the psychological resilience of students.Through systematic research,we have got conclusions as below:(1)The level of adaptation to school for senior high school students is just a little higher than average.The collective adaption is relatively better,and the learning adaption is the worst.There is few conflict between teachers and students,but their relationship is distant and superficial.Student cadres have obvious better adjustment to school compared with students who are not cadres.(2)For senior high school students,there is no significant boarding influence on adjustment to school,including learning,collectivity,peer relation,aloneness,school attitude,conflict and intimacy of teacher-student relationship.(3)The resilience level of senior high school students is better than average,and the ability of positive cognition is relatively strong,and the ability of emotion control is the worst.Student cadres have better ability of objective focusing and active cognizance than students who are not cadres.(4)For senior high school students,the psychological resilience with its dimensions and adjustment to school with its dimensions have pairwise positive correlation.(5)The psychological resilience in the prediction of boarding influence on senior high school students' adjustment to school plays a role of positive moderating effects,which in embodied in that the interpersonal assistant dimension of resilience has positive moderating effects on the peer relationship,aloneness and the conflict of teacher-student relationship.
