The Plant Image Analysis Of Tao Yuanming's Work And Their Teaching

This paper carefully analyzes the "pine image" "willow image" and "image of chrysanthemum" in Tao Yuanming's works and combined with the actual situation of middle school Chinese teaching, so as to explain the text more deeply and help students to better understand Tao's thought, emotion and personality.The use of chrysanthemum images in Tao Yuanming's works is divided into two categories. One is used in the original meaning; the other is from the use of metaphor.Tao Yuanming mainly starts from the three levels into the description of chrysanthemum image. First, the chrysanthemum has a useful function of life extension, description of chrysanthemum in the daily life of the benefits; Second, from the characteristics of the chrysanthemum not competing with the appearance of flowers, showing the characters ,which is that chrysanthemum endures loneliness and sticks to the self. Third, from the chrysanthemum living environment and the survival of the state, showing character and spirit, which is that the chrysanthemums are open in the cold, and the petals wilt not fall from the branches. Fourth, from the behavior of the chrysanthemum, the poet's Carefree state of mind is presented.The pine image in Tao Yuanming's works can be divided into three categories: the pine of the garden, which represents the seclusion of the poet's feelings; rocks of the valley of the pine,a symbol of the poet's quality of standing and integrity; the only pine outside the forest , which can keep the poet in a true disposition.Tao Yuanming like willow very much, there are two main reasons: first, the poet's spiritual pursuit is similar with the characteristics of the growth of the willow, secondly,Tao Kan and willow has deeper roots. Similarly, the willow tree in Tao Yuanming's work symbolizes both his "rebellious" spirit and his pursuit of "natural".The author also analyzes and interprets the works selected in the high school teaching materials, while he analyzes the plant images in Tao Yuanming' works. He comes up with some suggestions for the works' problems existing in the teaching. In the end,the author gives one of teaching designs in "Returning to My Farm",and applies the analysis of the plant image to the teaching design. The purpose of the teaching design has two points. One is that it lets students know the important meaning of plant image in Tao Yuanming, works , the other is that it guides students to use the image analyzing the method of poetry.
