In recent years,Inquiry Learning has been paid attention to by the educational circles in the world.The United States,France,Germany,Japan,South Korea and other developed countries are active to carry on the Inquiry Learning.In a new round of Chinese basic educational reform,Ministry of Education clearly put forward the comprehensive practical activity(Inquiry Learning is an area of it)as a subject to be offered in schools and advocate to carry out the Inquiry Learning as a new learning style in the learning of different disciplines.Inquiry Learning is of great significance to improve primary and secondary education,such as covering the traditional teaching shortage,breaking the given a fixed answer of receptive learning style in the traditional teaching;applying in the mathematics can not only make students learn knowledge more solidly,but also improve students' consciousness,ability and quality to use it.In this paper,we study the present situation and countermeasures of Inquiry Learning as a new way of learning to apply in the Mathematical education in higher grades of primary school.This article takes three primary schools in Changchun city as the research object,uses the questionnaire and interview method to survey.Questionnaires are from students mathematics basic situation and the student interest,consciousness,behavior,harvest five aspects to carry.Interviews are from the cognition degree,classroom teaching situation,emphasis of teachers and schools,influence factors,teachers' comments and suggestions five aspects to invest.While observed the 21 sections mathematics Classroom of higher grades.Furthermore,according to the results to analyze the existing problems,and put forward the corresponding suggestions.Through investigation and analysis of the mathematics inquiry learning of higher grades in primary school,following eight problems be found :1.The school haven't pay enough attention to it;2.The teachers and students don't have a right ideas of inquiry learning;3.Due to students is unfamiliar with inquiry learning,students' interest needs to be inspired;4.Students' problem consciousness is restrained by acceptance learning,so the students' problem and question consciousness also need to be improved;5.The way of inquiry learning is too single,mainly depended on group discussion way;6.The way of consolidating knowledge is lack of flexibility;7.The way of reviewing knowledge is so traditional,and inquiry learning has not been applied in practicing and reviewing knowledge;8.Students did not experience happiness from of the inquiry learning,lack of a sense of accomplishment,because the teacher give students a little opportunities to express learning outcomes.Based on the present situations and problems,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to apply the Inquiry Learning in mathematics teaching in higher grades of primary school: 1.As an important place for students to learn,schools should attach importance to inquiry learning and actively create a good learning atmosphere.2.Concepts lead the behaviors,the teachers and students should change the traditional ideas and habits.3.Using education games stimulate students' interest in inquiry learning.4.Creating problem situation to raise students' awareness of the problem.5.Using appropriate and diverse ways to apply in the classroom.6.Let the students freely and openly practice knowledge.7.Let the students draw a mind map to consolidate and review knowledge.8.Organizing student to exchange each other and experience the joy of learning.
