Under the current background of knowledge information and poly-basic value,people had more and more ways to master different information,then more historical materials were disclosed.It stimulated people's enthusiasm of recognizing the history.As more and more attention paid to historical materials,some history teachers from senior high school keened on the recognition,some of them chose some “special”historical materials with ulterior motives under the name of empirical research and draw completely contrary conclusions,which have brought much misunderstanding and bias to the education of students' values.The application and choose of historical materials is a prominent problem in high school history teaching.Thus,history teachers from high school should ensure the objectivity and the consistency of historical materials and conclusions,also the conformity of cultivating mainstream value and applying the historical materials.Based on that,they should chose historical materials objectively,reasonably and rationally to cultivate students' correct values.This paper consists of four parts.The first part categorized the theories and problems of cultivating students' values in history teaching of high school,also concluded some related definitions.The second part analyzed the current situation of values education in high school history teaching.During the twenty weeks' practice teaching in No.1 Senior High School of Chengxian,the author did some related investigation with the help of other teachers,which supplied theoretical foundation to these views in this research.So this part took No.1 Senior High School of Chengxian as the investigation subjects,and did practical demonstration of the theories put forward in this study based on the examples of history classroom teaching.The third part put forward some countermeasures and suggestions based on the problems discussed in part two.The firth part listed some practical cases in history teaching and reflections on the application of historical materials in cultivating students' values.The author hoped that the combination of the theories and teaching practice mentioned in this research can bring new thought to high school history teaching and values education,finally promote the in-depth development of new curriculum reform.
