BACKGROUDWhen Nursing was the second-class subject under Clinical Medicine subject before the early 21st Century,the evaluation of nursing clinical teaching bases was carried out with Clinical Medicine,and used the same evaluation standard.But Nursing has become a first class discipline from the second-disciplines of clinical medicine.With the extension of undergraduate nursing education,keeping on using the exising evaluation standard of clinical teaching bases based on Clinical Medicine will lead to the lack of professional independence,uniqueness and distinctiveness in nursing practice teaching base construction and dissatisfaction of the development needs of nursing practice teaching.In recent years,Nursing education experts have begun the research and exploration of construction of clinical teaching base for nursing undergraduates to improve the construction level.The research is diversified,but the focus is on teachers'qualification and teaching management and lack of overall evaluation and construction planning.This situation leads to producing problems such as incomprehensive construction and nonstandard management and causes trading concern.OBJECTIVEThis study aims to establish the evaluation standard for clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province which can give a reference to the standardization construction of bases based on the current situation of the bases,and to validate the scientificalness and maneuverability of evaluation indexes by analyzing 9 hospitals in Guangdong province.METHODSThere were two parts in the study.The first part is the investigation of the construction of clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nursing students in Guangdong.A self-designed-questionnaire survey of internship satisfaction was conducted among 205 nursing students in internship from two nursing colleges in Guangdong to investigate the current situation of the clinical teaching bases.The general information and the satisfaction degree were assessed by the mean,standard deviation and constituent ratio.Analyzed the data with TOPSIS and sort the satisfaction with RSR.The second part is the construction of evaluation standard.On the basis of present findings,literature review and data collection,the indexes at all levels were summarized and evaluation index system of the evaluation standard was preliminarily constructed.Then the indexes were screened and adjusted through Delphi technique,and indexes' weights were determined by analytical hierarchy process and the evaluation standard for clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province was finally established.The third part is the empirical study of evaluation standard.Tested the maneuverability and applicability of the evaluation standard through field evaluation of 9 clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province.Cluster analysis and correlation analysis were used to validate the the division and availability of the evaluation standard:RESULTS1.The investigation of the construction of clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nursing students in Guangdong.The score of clinical learning satisfaction was(3.81±0.52).And the order of rating all dimension are as follows:teacher's diathesis(3.93±0.57),teaching implementation(3.86±0.58),practical effects(3.85±0.61),teaching management(3.85±0.65),teaching condition(3.44±0.69).By using TOPSIS arrangememt and RSR graduation to analyse the satisfaction of the hospitals,the study released results that 14%of the practice bases were at an excellent level,57%were in good condition and 29%were in the medium and below level.2.The construction of evaluation standard.The evaluation standard for clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province including 4 first-level indexes,10 second-level indexes and 28 third-level indexes was established,and indexes' weights were calculated by three rounds of expert consultation.The effective returns-ratio was 92.75%.87.5%of the esperts expressed many opinions and recommendations.Experts'authority coefficient is 0.852,which shows a high degree of authority and the reliability of the result.Kendall's coordination coefficient of three rounds of consultation were between 0.274 to 0.401 which is statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating the experts' opinion reach unanimity.3.The empirical study of evaluation standard.The result of empirical analysis showed that three of the 9 hospitals were unqualified and none of the hospitals reached the level of demonstration.Score rates of each primary index were greater than 60%,with the lowest score rate in secondary index reached 40.00%.The results from cluster analysis showed that 9 hospitals could be categorized into 3 groups,which proved that the evaluation standard had high discrimination.The Spearmean correlation coefficient was 0.817 which showed the validity of the evaluation standard.CONCLUSIONS1.Undergraduate nursing students' internship satisfaction is in the middle level.The level of clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province is uneven and some of the base construction level has not been able to meet the needs of clinical practice teaching for undergraduate nursing students.2.The evaluation standard for clinical teaching bases for undergraduate nurse students in Guangdong Province established in this research was exercisable and reliable,which may have reference value and guidance significanc to the good development of bases construction.
