When the global economy is marching towards integration,and the society is rapidly developing forward,work content and family structure have also undergone enormous changes.Work and life have become two important areas that the current generation is facing.In general,work provides security and meanings for life;life provides goals and values for work.The two facilitate and influence each other.Nowadays,the work and life pace is getting faster and faster.Enterprises and employees are facing enormous pressure and conflict.In order to achieve a win-win situation,more and more enterprises and managers have begun to pay attention to the common development with the employees,as well as the employees'work-life balance.Meanwhile,employees,in pursuit of a personal career success and the improvement of individual happiness,are paying more and more attention to individual work-life balance.During the research,it is found that the overall work-life balance of Chinese employees is not optimistic.There is no sign of improvement in the foreseeable future.More than half of the employees think that their work and life are unbalanced.The enormous stress,too much overtime,and high-speed work pace in Chinese enterprises have led to the deterioration of labor-capital relationship,an increase in the turnover rate,and a decrease in job satisfaction,and even a growing number of employee death from overwork,an increase in the employee divorce rate,and the deterioration of the employees' health,etc.Therefore,the society should pay attention to the problem of work-life imbalance,and take appropriate measures to effectively improve the employees' work and life quality.Based on the above research assumption,this paper,after the review and collection of related disciplines and research literatures,adopts empirical research,in the form of questionnaire survey with a wide sample pool of various types of employees in the country,comprehensively uses exploratory analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,one-way analysis of variance,regression analysis,correlation analysis and other data analysis methods,the collected sample data analysis,and eventually reaches the following conclusions:First,the time balance,the psychological participation balance,and the satisfaction balance are three content dimensions of work-life balance.Second,there is no significant difference in the three dimensions of work-life balance among employees of different gender and different company.There are some differences in the three dimensions among employees of different age,educational background,work experience,family income and rank(title).Third,the work-life balance has no effect on the job input and has a significant positive influence on job performance and job satisfaction.There is a significant negative influence on the turnover intention.Work pressure in work-life balance has intermediary influence effect on job performance,job satisfaction and turnover intention.
