Tourism is a professional, practical and comprehensive industry. The application of case teaching method in Tourism Management Specialty in higher vocational colleges can not onl y break the limitation of the traditional teaching mode, but also establish the main position of students, make students change passive learning to active learning, construct their own knowl edge system, so that students have the ability to solve problems, analyze and solve problems. However, there are still some shortcomings in the teaching of Tourism Management Major in vocational colleges. Therefore, according to the characteristics of the object of education, pro fessional training objectives, curriculum characteristics continue to optimize, the basic form o f the case teaching method is flexible use, not only can better refine the teaching method, but also can further promote the combination of case teaching and classroom teaching. According to the nature of the course and the characteristics of the students to choose different case teac hing methods, can greatly improve the teaching effect.This paper uses the method of questionnaire survey, the Shijiazhuang area of Vocational Colleges tourism management professional courses as a case study of the implementation of the object, analysis of the current case teaching method. School of investigation: Shijiazhuan g tourism school, Shijiazhuang University Of Economics, Shijiazhuang City, Career Academ y, Hebei Women’s Vocational College, and Career Academy, and other schools in Shijiazhua ng. From the perspective of Tourism Management Specialty in higher vocational colleges, the paper points out the necessity of applying case teaching method in tourism management. Me anwhile, the author introduces the practical experience of tourism management and the specif ic characteristics of tourism management. This paper introduces the case teaching method in t ourism management, and draws the case teaching method. I hope to have some reference valu e for the case teaching of Tourism Management Major in vocational colleges. This paper is divided into five parts, as follows:The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research background and s ignificance, the domestic and foreign research present situation, the main research contents an d the research method.The second part is the theoretical definition of case teaching method, including case teac hing method, case teaching method in the course of tourism management, three kinds of com mon case teaching method, case teaching method and tourism management specialty.The third part is the case teaching method in tourism management professional teaching status, problems and reason analysis, this part is the focus of the article, first of all the student s in Higher Vocational Colleges to carry out a detailed questionnaire survey, to understand st udents’ participation in the case teaching method, positive cooperation, acceptance ability, get the students’ learning interest and teachers how to use case teaching has certain relationship, excellent teaching case can drive the whole class of learning atmosphere, students will be hap py to join in the case teaching to work together with the teacher. Finally, it points out that th e practical application of the case teaching method is monotonous, the students are not strong with the case teaching, the case selection is not ideal, and the case teaching is not in place.The fourth part is the case teaching method in Tourism Management Specialty in higher vocational colleges teaching optimization countermeasures. This part is the key part of the art icle, first discusses the influence factors of higher vocational tourism management specialized case teaching method and application principle, followed by the application of higher vocatio nal tourism management specialized case teaching method is discussed, the common case tea ching method has three kinds: Role-playing type of case teaching method, discussion of case teaching method and Simulation of the real case teaching method. Finally, the third part of th e existing problems, put forward a constructive strategy: enrich the case teaching method, bui ld a flexible and diverse case teaching mode; carefully write teaching case, establish a touris m case network teaching resources website; grasp the students psychological situation, so that students can have more adaptability to the case; improve the quality of teachers, strengthen t he ability of teachers to use case teaching, establish scientific and effective incentive measure s. In the end, it can improve the teaching quality of the tourism major in higher vocational col leges, and provide better learning method for the students.The fifth part,summarize the full text.
