Along with China's booming economy and international status improvement,the promotion of Chinese language is also flourishing.The southeastern Asia,especially the Philippines and Thailand,has a great demand of Chinese teachers every year.Like no other time before,many international schools occur.The rise of international schools brings complex backgrounds of students.It's my honor to be one of the International Chinese Volunteer teachers to teach elementary school Chinese in Bethel International School for ten months.Through my own process of practice,I regard primary school Chinese class in Philippines as research object to find out problems in teaching process.First,make an empirical investigation by listening to other teachers 'class and giving a questionnaire to students;then analyze why these issues appear;at last,list some specific countermeasures to solve the problems found in Chinese class.Hope the measures can help to improve primary Chinese class in Philippines.This thesis is to introduce the present teaching situation in Bethel International School from the overall to concrete.Taking Chinese class from first Grade to fifth Grade for instance to introduce primary school Chinese class conditions.Then,taking Bethel International School for an example,put forward many problems during teaching process such as students' lacking of concentration in the class;very big gap of Chinese level among students;no-activity;less cooperation etc.Next,make empirical investigation and analysis in problems occurred in primary Chinese class through questionnaire,students' feedback and classroom survey to find out the reason.In the end,this thesis will put forward some strategies and proposals to solve the problem in primary school Chinese class.
