In the human development history,it is inseparable from the discovery,invention,creation and innovation activities,which bring revolutionary changes for progress,civilization and prosperity.Then it is easy to see the importance of using hands and brain to stimulate people's innovative thinking.In the primary school stage,students are curious and active so carrying out manual activities allows students to use both the brain and hands and cultivate their comprehensive qualities.As the main method and approach for aesthetic education,art class is extremely important in primary education and the handwork is the relatively interesting art activity for children.This kind of activity is completed by hand skills as well as the processing and production of materials with simple tools.For rural schools,they have the inconvenience and relative shortage in such aspects as traffic,information and materials but they have the beautiful and quiet environmental resources.There are constraints and restrictions for conditions.It must use local materials in rural primary schools to carry out art handwork teachings.On the one hand,it can enrich the contents of the course materials and on the other hand it is able to reduce the education costs of rural households,which is conducive to greatly improve the feasibility of art handcraft classes.The handwork class owns features of intuition,visualization,practicability and interestingness and is an effective way to exercise the creative thinking and operating ability of students.
