From the year of 2010 and 2011,the government of Hainan Province authorized Tianjin University of Technology and Education to cultivate 30 professional-education-oriented free-normal students every year,and this marks the beginning of exploration and practice of professional-education-oriented free-normal students.During the following years,Tianjin University of Technology and Education made a alliance with Guangxi,Tibet,Sinkiang,Guizhou,Hainan,Ningxia,Zhejiang,Gansu provinces and successfully cultivated free-normal students.And it has been six years since this practice was put into practice till now.How about the learning status of free-normal students? Do they have motivation to study? What are their attitudes towards this kind of learning? And whether they throw themselves into studies initiatively or not.Actually,there are few existing studies about the learning status of free-normal students.Therefore,the study on learning status of free-normal students is brought up.In the one hand,this study not only offers theoretical support for the free-policy of professional education,but also can instruct the studying of free-normal students and it also has a good guiding significance for the practical improvement of professional-education-oriented free-normal students' cultivating.Documentary analysis,interviewing and questionnaire survey are adopted in this study,which are based on learning motivation,attitude and behavior.We did a questionnaire survey to243 free-normal students who are majored in profession education,and interviewed 12 students from them.The analysis revealed that the learning status of free-normal students was in a good condition,but there are still some potential issues.Firstly,the free-normal students show diversified learning motivations,and part of the students are not so clear on their motivations about profession education.Secondly,the learning attitude turns out good in general,but part of the students do not put themselves into study thoroughly.Finally,learning behavior acts well in general,however,some of the students learn negatively and passively.From what have analyzed,those phenomena result from students' excessively concern about the “benefit based on policy”;limited effects and results that practical curriculum appeared;dated teaching idea and stereotyped teaching method of some teachers;lacking communication between teachers and free-normal students;failure to “role transition” of the students'.Based on the given issues and analysis above,this paper attempts to start with Bandura's“social learning theory” and Gorge Simon's “learning theory of connectivism” to put forward suggestions on how to improve the profession-education-oriented free-normal students' learning status;In terms of policy,government should promulgate and enact profession-education free-normal students policy;school should optimize the curriculum arrangements and improvethe effects and results of practical courses.What's more,vocational schools should reinforce the team construction of “double-qualified teachers”.As for the management of Vocational schools,they need to prominently show management specialty in school management.
