The undergraduates who accept free normal education will engage in teaching after graduation.The ultimate goal of normal university is to train them to be excellent primary and secondary school teachers.Because they are shouldering the mission of imparting knowledge and educating people.Furthermore,the improvement of their expertise and professional quality not only concerns the quality of basic education in the future,but also makes it possible to realize the balanced development of basic education and the fairness in education.Then it is necessary to improve their learning engagement and their learning quality.Therefore,the author thinks a deep research on the learning engagement of tuition-free normal college students will be significant.This study based on F university,employing three methods questionnaire survey,semi-structured interviews,and convenience sampling method for investigation.Finally,there are 741 valid questionnaires were collected.In order to understand the status quo and influencing factors of free normal college students' learning engagement,after statistical analysis of the data,10 students have been interviewed.Combined with the results of data analysis and interviews,this thesis summarizes the typical characteristics of free normal college students who have high learning engagement,discusses the relationship between professional identity and learning engagement,and then analyzes the main factors affecting the learning engagement of free normal college students.The study draws the following conclusions:(1)Learning engagement of free normal college students in F University is above average.(2)Professional identity of tuition-free normal college students is closely correlated with learning engagement.The higher the former,the higher the latter.(3)Professional behavior in professional identity has a predictive effect on learning engagement.It shows that professional identity,to a certain extent,impacts on students' learning engagement.(4)Tuition-free normal college students with higher learning engagement have a stronger professional behavior,a better understanding of learning,moreover,they oftenworking harder and gain more recognition from others.Finally,based on the above study findings,combined with the main influencing factors of learning engagement of free normal students,this thesis brings forward some countermeasures from individual,family,and school respectively.It aims to improve tuition-free normal college students' learning engagement under the perspective of professional identity. |
