Research On Population Pressure And Poverty In The Three Regions Of Southern Xinjiang

The Three Districts in southern Xinjiang is a typical poverty-stricken area with remote geographical conditions,poor ecological environment,compact ethnic minorities,poor economic development and relatively closed economy.All of these make the southern Xinjiang into the " PPE " cycle,which refers to "fragile environment-leading to poverty-plundering resources-environmental degradation-population growth ".Among them,the population is the only initiative factor in the circle,and also is the basis of sustainable development.The southern region is one of the 14 contiguous poverty areas planned by China.It make the southern Xinjiang become the main battlefield of anti-poverty development in Xinjiang.The rapid population growth has brought great pressure to the effective of anti-poverty development.Therefore,it is necessary to research both population and poverty to build a moderately prosperous society,and we must consider the issue of population pressure.This paper focuses on the study of population pressure and poverty in southern Xinjiang.It is found that the population pressure in the three areas of the southern Xinjiang led to greater poverty,which in turn also led to increased population pressure in the region.The results of the population pressure in the three regions of the southern Xinjiang indicated that the population pressure in the three regions of southern Xinjiang is more higher than the average level in the whole Xinjiang,and it is also a large area of high population pressure in the whole of southern Xinjiang.And we can say that there is a close relationship between population pressure,economy,social development,resource endowments and geographical location.The lower level of economic development and the more isolated geographical location mean the greater population pressure.The population pressure is one of the important factors restricting the economic development of this region,and is also an important cause of poverty.The poverty degree from 2011 to 2015 shows that the situation of poverty in the three prefectures of the southern Xinjiang is more serious.With the anti-poverty alleviation and development policies in recent years,the poverty level has slowed down,but the poverty problem is still prominent in Xinjiang.Population pressure,caused by low per capital income,irrational industrial structure and other reasons,resulted in increasing poverty in the region and also increased the difficulty of anti-poverty alleviation and development.Finally,from the point of combining with the formation mechanism and actual situation of poverty in the three regions of the southern Xinjiang,this paper give some suggestions to control the rapid population growth,ease the population pressure,optimize the industrial structure,promote economic development and improve people's lives.
