Scientific performance management can help organizations to obtain competitive advantage and realize the sustainable development of organization,which is an effective way to improve the performance of the organization.As a performance management tool,balanced scorecard requires the organization's mission,vision and strategy into a coherent performance index,in the design embodies the balance of multiple variables.It concerns of the organization's mission and values,which is in accordance with the inherent requirements of non-profit organizations,which helps to seek the balance between public welfare and efficiency.This study attempts to introduce the Balanced Scorecard into the social work organization to improve the performance management level of social workers.The empirical study on the application of the Balanced Scorecard in the performance management of social work organization is carried out by taking the R social work organization in Beijing as an example.This study adopted the interview method and the research methods of participant observation,in-depth analysis of the R organization present situation and existing problems of performance management.On the basis of this,the paper designs the balanced scorecard which is suitable for R social work organization.Through the observation and analysis of the results of the application,found the balanced scorecard can improve the performance management of the organization,promote the strategic consensus and improve the overall performance management level.So this research conclusion is: the balanced scorecard is suitable for the social work organization,but the introduction of the balanced scorecard,the agency must examine their needs,improper implementation may make the scorecard lose the original meaning,be a simple evaluation index.Finally,this study puts forward some suggestions on how to apply the balanced scorecard to the performance management of social work organization.
