At present,China's economic development has entered a new normal "from high-speed growth to high-speed growth".However, agricultural modernization has always been unable to maintain the simultaneous development with new Industrialization, informatization and urbanization, the "three rural" problem is further highlighted.Rural poverty is the root cause of the "three rural" problem, threatening the sustained and healthy development of economy and society.University is an important source of external knowledge in rural areas. The effective flow of knowledge in universities will help to promote the process of rural knowledge. From the perspective of knowledge economy, knowledge flows from university to rural is the process of knowledge spillover. In the knowledge spillovers of university and rural areas, universities are the "peak" riching in knowledge base and innovation ability,is the source of knowledge;Rural are the "valley" relatively weaking in knowledge base and knowledge stock.Knowledge flowing from the source of knowledge to the recipient of knowledge,is influenced by the cultural and knowledge distance and the absorptive capacity of the recipient.Exploring the mechanism of the effect of distance and absorptive capacity on knowledge spillover, will help to open up the "black box" of the rural knowledge spillover and provide the theoretical support, providing support to realize the benign interaction and sustainable development theory of University and rural economic organization..Based on the research status of distance, absorptive capacity and knowledge spillover effect, this paper constructs the theoretical model of the relationship between distance, absorptive capacity and knowledge spillover effect in the "university-rural" knowledge spillovers.Measuring the distance of knowledge spillovers in universities and rural areas through the two dimensions of knowledge distance and cultural distance,Measuring the knowledge spillover effect of rural entities by tangible effect and potential effect two dimensions.Visited more than 100 chairman and members of the farmers cooperatives,26 town or village level grassroots government,12 family farms, which had the experience of cooperation with the university.Developed survey on depth interview and questionnaire about knowledge spillover.carry out the status of knowledge overflow in-depth interviews and questionnaires. At the same time, distributed network and collected total of 465 valid questionnaires.By using SPSS20.0 and AMOSS17.0,combined with theoretical analysis, literature research, empirical analysis, processing data and analyzing recovered samples, explored the influence of distance and absorptive capacity on the knowledge spillover effect of knowledge spillovers in rural areas. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)There is a significant negative correlation between distance and knowledge spillover effect in university and rural knowledge spillovers. The smaller the distance between the university and the countryside in the knowledge base and the organization culture and the value system, the more the promotion of the rural knowledge and the economic benefit and the social benefit.Knowledge distance is more significant than the cultural distance effect on the knowledge spillover effect.(2)In the knowledge spillover between Universities and universities, distance has a significant negative correlation with rural knowledge absorptive capacity. This conclusion verifies the rationality of the "relative absorptive capacity" view. The absorptive capacity of knowledge in rural areas is flexible, relative, depending on the "university-rural" knowledge and cultural platform similarity. The higher the similarity("the same family marriage"),the more conducive to the rural side of the overflow of the new knowledge of the acquisition, assimilation, transformation and absorption.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between rural knowledge absorptive capacity and knowledge spillover effect. This shows that the stronger the absorptive capacity of rural knowledge, the higher the performance of knowledge spillovers. In addition, the influence of absorptive capacity on potential effects is greater than that on tangible effects, that is,the increase in absorptive capacity has a deeper impact on the long-term development of rural entities.(4)Absorptive capacity plays a mediating role in the effect of distance on knowledge spillover effects. In the case of rural knowledge absorptive capacity is invariable, the reduction of distance means that the university and the rural areas in the management and technical knowledge base and organizational culture and value system overlap is higher, the impact of knowledge overflow on rural areas stronger.(5)The knowledge distance is more directly to the knowledge spillover effect than the cultural distance, while the cultural distance is more influencing the absorptive capacity of the rural entity than the knowledge spillover effect.Based on this, this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions on how to improve the knowledge spillover effect of university and rural enterprises from the perspective of rural areas, governments and universities. So as to provide theoretical support for the realization of benign interaction and sustainable development of universities and rural economic organizations.
