Primary science curriculum aims at cultivating students' scientific literacy,guiding students to explain the scientific phenomena in life with and experience the process of inquiry and develop scientific thinking.Students are able to advocate science,love science and life.In our era of innovation,any country or region who wants to gain a competitive advantage in the future,innovation is its core competitiveness.Science should be regarded as an important course in the compulsory education.Students should be cultivated the sense of innovation and insight ability and lay a solid foundation for the cultivation of national innovative talents.But,the scientific literacy of science teachers and teaching mode have seriously reduced the effect of science.Science is insignificant in the minds of many students and parents who do not recognize the critical role of science in understanding and transforming the world.Science teachers have responsibility to this situation.They still use traditional teaching method which students learn passively.Students did not have self-experience,exploration and interest in the process of learning.In order to solve the teaching dilemma of science,highlight the role of science in cultivating innovative talents and enhance students' interest in scientific inquiry.The paper introduces problem-based learning model(PBL)and combines PBL with primary school science and explores a more effective science teaching model,so that students experience the process of scientific inquiry.First,by combing the relevant literature,the paper expounded research status,concept,characteristics,theoretical basis and role of PBL systematically.Then,according to the implementation steps o f the PBL teaching model,the paper put forward PBL teaching model of primary school science: Analysis of teaching materials and learners;creation of learning situation and questions;students' inquiry,teachers' guidance;refined refining,implementation evaluation.Finally,two classes of Gupinggang Primary School in Gulou District of Nanjing were selected as the experimental subjects.The paper took a science course as an example and showed the implementation of PBL of science.At the same time,the paper used research method to understand the performance of students in the PBL teaching model and applied statistical tools SPSS19.0 analyze students' scientific literacy and ability in PBL.The results show that in PBL teaching model,the students' interest in learning,scientific literacy and comprehensive ability are improved comprehensively.In addition,the interpersonal relationship is improved to a certain extent.The purpose of this study is to provide a positive effect on the improvement of primary s chool science teaching,provide references for the teaching reform practice of first-line science teachers and promote the development of primary school science curriculum reform.
