The Study On Present Situation And Countermeasure Of Extracurricular Reading In Junior Middle School

Reading is a skill that everyone has to master,because it is the means and way that people get information.For junior middle school students,reading is an important way to acquire knowledge,broaden their horizons and enrich the spiritual world.In recent years,with the deepening of education and teaching reform,the quality of extracurricular reading is also increasingly focused and valued by front-line teachers and other educational theorists.This thesis takes the junior high school students’ extracurricular reading as the research object,in which literature method and investigation method are used.And the thesis also analyzes the problems and their causes in the extracurricular reading of Haihui Junior Middle School students,and then put forward the corresponding solution strategy,aimed at improving junior high school students reading ability and comprehensive literacy.This thesis is divided into three parts.The first part combs the research results as well as the core concepts of reading and extracurricular reading.Based on this,the thesis investigates the current situation of Haihui Junior Middle School students’ extracurricular reading,and concludes the advantages as well as the problems,then analyzes the cause from five directions,which are the education evaluation mechanism,massive media culture,family atmosphere,teachers’ accomplishment and students’ own psychological factors.The second part is the focus of this thesis.In response to these problems,the paper puts forward that teachers guiding students’ extracurricular reading should follow the certain principles,and change the past evaluation ideas and methods.The teachers can guide students from the following five aspects:defining the importance of extracurricular reading,understanding the reading content,mastering reading methods,carrying out reading activities and developing good habits.The third part describes the author carrying out extracurricular reading activities in the internship classes of Haihui Junior Middle School.
