With the improvement of English teaching level in China,the level of English language of middle school students has been improved,student English club activities began to rise.This kind of English club activities avoid the drawbacks of English classroom teaching.Teachers can choose different teaching materials of different difficulties according to the students' English level,it can improve the English level of students.With the full development of English curriculum reform,the group cooperative learning has become a major highlight of English classroom in middle school.In English association activities of middle school,we also took the mode of group cooperation,it gives full play to the main role of students and reflects the leading role of teachers,it makes the activity effect remarkable.Based on the constructivist learning theory,motivation theory and group dynamics theory,through the literature research method,the investigation interview method and the case study method,from the three forms of group cooperation — open,semi-open and centralized to study the research of group cooperation in middle school English club activities.Through the interviews and testing of students,we can show the results of the research of group cooperation in middle school English club activities.It can cultivate students' team spirit and the sense of competition,innovation ability and communication skills,improve students' interests and self-confidence in learning English,and improve students' English academic achievement.The research can be divided into three parts:The first part is chapter one,two,three and four,which are the theoretical basis of the research.Chapter one introduces the research background,research purpose and research significance of the research.Chapter two introduces the literature review related to the research,and expounds the research on group cooperation,student club and learning community both at home and abroad.Chapter three is the theoretical basis,based on the constructivism learning theory,motivation theory and group dynamics theory,this study seeks theoretical support for the research of group cooperation in middle school English club activities.The second part is chapter five,six,seven and eight,which are the main part of the research.Chapter five introduces the content and form of group cooperation in middle school English club activities.Chapter six discusses the concrete implementation of before,during and after the club activities,and carries out different forms of English club activities according to the contents of English club activities,mainly in the open and semi-open and the centralized,the text with six typical examples of activities specifically described these three forms of English club activities.Chapter seven summarizes the effectiveness of the group cooperation in middle school English club activities,and analyzes the effectiveness of English club activities by means of student interviews and tests.In chapter eight,the writer draws some conclusions and gives some suggestions on how to carry out the group cooperation in middle school English club activities in the first year of study.The third part is chapter nine,it is the conclusion part,mainly elaborated on the reflection of the study and the future outlook.This paper hopes to help more English educators to understand the group cooperative teaching of the group and promote the continuous improvement and perfection of the middle school English club activities through the study of the group cooperation in middle school English club activities.
