Integration of coursebook is one of the ways to use the coursebook creatively.If teachers can grasp and use coursebook creatively,students will be able to acquire more and more wealthy of knowledge in the process of teaching.There are repetition,extending and mutual penetration between the No.3 elective and compulsory,of which the People's Education Press High Schools Biological coursebook contents.To analyze the contents and explore the effective ways of integrating between the No.3 elective and compulsory can not only help teachers to grasp and use of the coursebook but also students to improve the level of mastering the knowledge systematically.Firstly,the research discusses the integration of coursebook from the concepts,theories and principles respectively.It sorts and analyzes the contents of the No.3 elective and compulsory coursebook,aiming to find-out the knowledge which is the repetition,extending or mutual penetration between them,and then puts forward proposals to integrate.Being made the questionnaires to investigate the identity degree and opinion of the teachers and students about the contents and ways integrated.Finally,we selected the content integrated of “Cellular differentiation” and “The basic technology of plant cell engineering”as the teaching case according to the surveyed results of questionnaires to compare the experimental classes and the control classes,and making the questionnaires to seek the opinions of the students about the contents integrated.The results show that :(1)The are ten contents can be integrated between the No.3 elective and compulsory coursebook.(2)The teachers think the most reasonable method of integration about the ten contents integrated are:integrating the contents of the compulsory into the No.3 elective,it is“The basic operating procedures of genetic engineering”and“The principle of genetic engineering--steps”;integrating the contents of the No.3 elective into the compulsory,which includes“The occurrence of sperm and egg” and“The formation process of sperm and egg”,“The concept of Cellular totipotency”and“Cellular totipotency”;the rests,the contents of the No.3 elective as curriculum resources to integrate into compulsory,for example,“The case of Ecological Engineering ”and“The environment part of compulsory 3”,“The technology of plant tissue culture”and “The plant tissue culture”,“Fertilization”and “Fertilization”and so on.(3)Integrating the No.3 Biological Elective Content and Compulsory Content have a certain significance for teacher teaching and student learning.(4)To choice the elective textbooks should fit the active life and interests of the students as far as possible.In order to reflect the meaning of integration,we put forward the advice for the teachers to teach,write coursebook and students to learn by the survey in this paper.
