A Study On The Difficulties And Countermeasures Of The Tennis Play&Stay Teaching Method In The Popularization And Application Of Tennis Elective Courses In PE Colleges And Universities

In physical education colleges and universities of our country,the tennis elective course is more and more popular,but the real teaching effect of it is influenced by various reasons,such as the high capacity and difficulty of playing it,single teaching methods,fewer opportunities to practice,which results in a result that many students can not have a good command of tennis techniques after finishing their studies.Play Tennis(Tennis Play & Stay)is a new teaching method in the 2007 International Tennis Federation through deeply teaching research to benefit the tennis development,and it is suitable for tennis beginners.The Tennis Play & Stay teaching method can let Beginners accept the basic technical skills of tennis quickly and effectively,which is a new concept different from the traditional teaching method.The use of the Tennis Play & Stay teaching method is a better means to improve the quality of tennis course,but in the actual teaching process it is quite less used.This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the difficulties and countermeasures in the popularization and application of tennis elective courses in physical education colleges and universities through the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics.It provides accordance for further development of tennis teaching and provide some theoretical bases and practical significance for reforming other teaching methods.The following conclusions are drawn from the study:1.The situation to promote the use of the Tennis Play & Stay teaching method of tennis elective courses in the physical education colleges and universities is still not ideal.Therefore,in the tennis teaching process,the teaching methods are still the traditional ones,the frequency of using this new teaching method is quite low.2.Students and some teachers in the tennis elective course of physical education colleges and universities think that traditional elective course of tennis is less than interesting for them,and the students of the tennis elective course have a high demand for the new teaching method.3.The Tennis Play & Stay teaching method can teach the students with entertainment and stimulate students' interest in tennis as well as fully mobilize the positive initiative of students.Part of the teachers in physical education colleges and universities have a positive attitude towards the Tennis Play & Stay teaching method.4.Predicaments in promoting the use of the method in the physical education colleges and universities are: participation of the participants with the Tennis Play & Stay teaching method is not aware,lack of school support,curriculum structure,the limitations of participation,technical action norms and other issues.5.Countermeasures to promote the use of the Tennis Play & Stay teaching method in physical education colleges and universities elective courses are: to increase publicity and promote efforts to enhance the participation of the awareness of the participants;to strengthen the school attention;to improve the funding security system and reasonable adjustments of curriculum structure;to mobilize students to learn Enthusiasm;to strengthen the teachers and cultivate and optimize the sense of innovation;to combine it with traditional teaching methods to promote complementary technological advantages.All these measures aim to promote the rapid development of the tennis teaching methods in physical education colleges and universities.
