A Study On Children And Adolescents' Moral Education In The Perspective Of "Justice Association Strategy"

Laurence Kolberg(1927~1987)is one of the most outstanding contemporary moral educators in America,"Justice association strategy "is respected as the integration and the final stage of his moral education theory,and it is suggested that we should value democratic management rights of the children under the just group atmosphere to achieve the goal of self-education of children.“Justice association strategy" completed the transition of moral education from the classroom education towards extracurricular practice education,which is of epoch-making significance.First,the study make a thorough analysis on the production process,core ideas,merits and faults of “Justice association strategy” through the literature method,and then the study try to explore the problems and factors affecting moral education of child and youth by means of questionnaire survey from the view of the “Justice association strategy”.The main problems are as following: the principle of moral education emphasize on self-interest instead of justice.The teaching method focus on restriction rather than democratic management.The teaching mainly takes the form of dominant curriculum instead of the hidden curriculum.And the goal of moral education seems ignore the self-education of the children.According to the core ideas of “Justice association strategy” we can find out the main causes in the following aspects: the level of group justice structure in moral education is not too high.The group members are lack of democratic management awareness and did not realize the significance of hidden moral education in whole teaching process.And the last one reason is lack of subjectivity.In the end of the study,some targeted suggestions are put forward: the moral education should insist on the justice principle to improve group justice structure and adopt the method of moral practice to promote democratic management.Besides,moral education ought to make full use of hidden moral circumstance and focus on self-education to promote students development on their own initiative.
