This paper uses observation,interview,classroom experiment to study the primary Chinese phonetics teaching of Sisaket wittayalai school in Thailand.Firstly,it elaborates the current situation of research and the reasons for choosing the topic.The development of Chinese as a foreign language gives the frontline teachers a more arduous and lofty mission,prompting us to summarize and reflect to find out the most effective teaching methods.Phonetic teaching is the foundation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,this study starts with the study of primary Chinese phonetics teaching in Thailand.Then,based on the real teaching experience of Sisaket wittayalai School in Thailand,the author identifies the students learning Chinese in Grade 1 in this senior high school as the survey group,using the textbook Experience Chinese Senior High School Edition I and II as reference to find out problems students meet with during sentence teaching from the textbook.Then it makes a questionnaire in terms of pronunciation,sub-consonant and intonation.Finally it sorts out cases of wrong pronunciation during teaching and makes a brief analysis about it.In the third chapter,according to the case of the pronunciation error encountered in the study of "Experience Chinese" in Sisaket wittayalai School in the previous chapter,the paper analyzes the differences between Chinese and Thai in terms of initials,vowels and tones.The result shows that beginners tend to replace them with similar ones in their mother tongue when they can not pronounce some sounds.And this explains why students utter strange sounds when speaking Chinese.Then,the author lists easily wrong pronounced sounds and gives some effective methods to teach and practice.Finally,in view of the current situation and problems of primary Chinese teaching in Thailand,the author puts forward reasonable suggestions of preparing lessons and teaching,based on the aspects of Chinese teachers' own literacy.A qualified Chinese teacher must constantly make a summary and reflection,develop good habits to find out scientific ways to teach.In this way,it not only contributes to phonetic teaching but benefits students and teachers in a more effective and interesting class.
