In recent years,with the continuous improvement of China's overall national strength,the trend of "Chinese fever" has been set off all over the world.As a friendly neighbor to China,Thailand positions Chinese as the third Thai language.This paper first summarizes the history of the development of Chinese teaching in Thailand,and then summarizes the current situation of Chinese teaching in primary schools in Chiang Mai,Thailand.Finally,using questionnaires and interviews,taking some teachers and students of 6 primary schools in Chiang Mai,This paper further analyzes the motivation and effect of students'learning Chinese and the situation of teachers' teaching,concludes the shortcomings in the process of Chinese teaching in primary schools in Chiang Mai,Thailand and analyzes the causes of these problems.Finally,it puts forward some suggestions.The results of the survey show that the teaching of primary schools in Chiang Mai,Thailand,is uneven in terms of Chinese teaching in different schools,there is not enough motivation for students to learn Chinese,limited arrangements for Chinese classes in schools,less time for independent study after class,inconsistent teaching materials and schools Frequent replacement of teaching materials;teachers are weak;teaching facilities are too old,lack of information.
