Since 2004,the new curriculum reform occurred throughout the country,so high school biology curriculum teaching position gradually increased.In order to comply with the requirements of quality education,biological experiment teaching has attracted more and more attention of teachers and students.So as to be acquainted with the current situation of high school biology experiment teaching in Harbin and discover the existing problems in the process of development,this paper investigates present situation in the teaching of the biological experiment in some high schools of Harbin,analyzes the reasons for the existing problems,and provides some countermeasures and suggestions,tries to arouse the awareness of more experts in education,education workers and first-line biology teachers in recognition of the biological experiment course in senior high school and promotes the development of the high school biology experiment in Harbin.The major problems exist in the research:(1)On account of the lack of biological teachers and laboratory technicians and large-size classes,teachers don't have the energy to prepare the experiment;(2)Biology teachers and laboratory technicians' inability can't complete the experiment successfully;(3)School hardware condition is poor.Biological experiment funds are insufficient.The site,the equipment and the material is incomplete;(4)Schools pay less attention to biological experiments,arrange limited teaching hours for biological experiment classes,don't notice the importance of teacher's training units in biological experiment and lack biological experimental activities;(5)The teaching mode is single.Teaching method focuses on teaching rather than exploring.Teaching evaluation lays emphasis on scores but neglects skills;(6)Biological experiment teaching effects are not good;Students' biology experiment foundation in junior middle school is weak;The classroom teaching management is difficult.In response to these issues,the following suggestions and countermeasures are proposed in this paper:(1)Strengthen the society at all levels to the attention of the high school biology experiment.Change the concept of education and teaching;(2)Reinforce biology teacher and biological experiment teachers team;Strengthen training;improve the quality;(3)Increase the biological experiment investment;Improve the school biology experiment hardware according to the experimental conditions and material preparations;Update obsolete equipment;(4)Increase the assessment efforts from the college entrance examination,academic proficiency test and senior high school entrance examination;Improve the teaching evaluation of daily biological experiment;(5)Arrange of experiment content reasonably;Save the class time;(6)Improve the students' interest in learning biology experiment class;Pay attention to experiment and inquiry ability acquisition.
