The Study On Narrative Writing In High School By Writer's Choice

The textbook contains the content and concept of our curriculum,teachers and students learn with it.Nowadays,the efficiency of teaching in narrative writing is unsatisfactory,our unqualified writing textbook is one of the reasons that bringing about this problem.Therefore,I choose a writing textbook from other countries to explore what we can learn to increase the efficiency of our teaching in narrative writing.In this paper,I have studied American writing textbook?The Writer's Choice:Grammar and composition?,from grade 9 to grade 12,and analysis their contents arrangement,structure as well as the representation.Then,I discussed their Ideas in narrative writing,from the outside to the inside.At last,in order to increase the efficiency of teaching in narrative writing,I created a teaching plan of narrative writing with the ideas.My paper contains three chapters,each chapter is summarized as follows:The first chapter is about the whole appearance of?The Writer's Choice:Grammar and composition?'s narrative writing unit.I analysis the contents arrangement,structure and representation of the writing textbook in narrative writing,then summarize that it is convenient for students to taking practice in narrative writing with the contents of this textbook.In addition,the structure of it is logical,the interesting representation can attract student's attention.The second chapter is about the Ideas of?The Writer's Choice:Grammar and composition?in narrative writing.Through my research,I find that students must consider the style of literary works in narrative writing unit.Besides,students usually complete their composition in an authentic context.Moreover,they propose amendments and addenda to the first draft of the composition several times,until they are satisfied with their narrative writing.In the third chapter,I took it into practice with the ideas learned from the textbook.I present the process of preparation and implementation in detail,expecting for being beneficial for someone's narrative writing,providing some advice for compiling textbooks in narrative writing.
