Chinese characters teaching has always been a weak link in teaching Chinese as a second language(TCSL),and the problem of studying Chinese characters is a widespread difficulty among Chinese learners that the Chinese teachers have to pay real attention to.The paper takes 29 Hungarian students in Miskolc church middle school as object.By Chinese writing test and Chinese notes,we analyze and conclude the problem in writing Chinese characters.Meanwhile through the questionnaire,we try to know students'situation in learning Chinese,such as study attitude and study method.Finally,we try to find the reasons and solutions,providing some specific Chinese character teaching strategies for Hungarian students.This paper includes the following parts:The first chapter is the introduction,including the reasons of the topic selection,the significance of the study,research object and research methods.The second chapter is the literature review.Summarize and generalize the current research achievements on teaching Chinese characters to foreigners.The third chapter is the research and statistics about Chinese characters study situation of students in Miskolc church middle school.The main content is analysis and conclude the Chinese writing test and Chinese notes,try to find the specific problems in writing Chinese characters.Like high error rate in the order of strokes,lacking of strokes,combining strokes,separating strokes and so on.The questionnaire about Chinese studying analyze from four parts:students' basic information,language study background,Chinese characters study methods,Chinese study attitude.The fourth chapter is the analysis and strategies about the studying problems in Chinese characters of students in Miskolc church middle school.We try to find the reasons from students themselves and external factor,like school and teacher.Then we give the solution in teachers,teaching principles and teaching methods.The fifth chapter is a conclusion,summarizing the main points of this paper and pointing out the insufficiency.
