Comparative Study Of Selected Poems From Senior High School Chinese Compulsory Course Of PEP And Hanlin Version

With more emphasis placed on Chinese traditional culture,people have paid more and more attention to poems teaching since we entered the new century.As a traditional literary form,Chinese teaching material is not only the main medium for students to learn poems but also the chief gauge for teachers to conduct teaching.Therefore,the efficiency of poems learning highly depends on scientific alness,reasonalityand applicability of teaching material compilation.Due to different politics,economy and history,mainland China and Taiwan have much difference inselection and compilation of teaching material.With the hot trend of curriculum reform and in-depth communication between Taiwan and mainland,more and more scholars concentrate on the difference of senior high school’s Chinese teaching material between two sides,study the comparison and gain great strengths from both to boost the development of senior high school Chinese language education.Taking PEP,Chinese Compulsory of Mainland China and Hanlin version,Chinese of Taiwan as object of study,this paper will apply methods of documentary analysis,comparison analysis and textual analysis to make a comparative study of selected poems from senior high school Chinese teaching material of both sides.Furthermore,this paper will investigate the difference of teaching aims,selected contents,style arrangements,supplementary reading materials and training systems to delve deep into poems education of both sides,to draw on the strong points of the other to make up for their own weak points and to improve mutual developments.It will not only make contribution to poems compilation and revision of senior high school teaching and also improve efficiency of poems learning.
